CLEVELAND - 10:00 pm Update: Clouds will hang tough across the area tonight. There could be a sprinkle or two before midnight. A more organized area of light precipitation will swing east through Northern Ohio overnight. I would expect a few sprinkles or flurries. Once temperatures get down to below freezing, a patch or two of freezing drizzle is not out of the question. Low temperatures tonight will slide back into the middle and upper 20s.
Saturday should stay mostly cloudy. Snow flurries are likely again in a few spots, especially during the morning hours. High temperatures will climb up to near 35 degrees.
Sunday, expect an isolated snow shower or two. Temperatures once again climbing into the middle 30s.
12:58 pm Update: We are FINALLY above freezing and will stay there through sunset today. Plan on highs this afternoon to hit the upper 30s under a thick cloud deck. We can't rule out a few isolated rain showers but we should stay mainly dry.
10:00 am Update: Temperatures are slowly warming. Dover just hit 30 degrees while the rest of Northeast Ohio is hovering in the upper 20s. Scattered sleet and freezing rain is likely until noon, followed by scattered rain showers. Watch out for icy side roads, but major highways are in good shape. Don't forget... Sidewalks, parking lots and railings will be slick!
Low pressure drifting toward Illinois will push a wintry mix through Northeast Ohio this morning. Expect light snow, then sleet, followed by a chance of freezing rain. Snowfall this morning will remain under 1" with scattered sleet and freezing rain likely after 7 a.m.
Right now, temperatures are in the mid-20s. A warm front will eventually boost temperatures to above freezing after lunchtime. At that time, most of the precipitation will be east of Cleveland.
Expect a wintry mix to linger in Lake, Geauga, Ashtabula and Trumbull Counties until early afternoon. A Winter Weather Advisory is posted for all of Northeast Ohio until 2 p.m.
Most of the afternoon will be dry and cloudy. I can't rule out passing rain showers or drizzle for the evening commute, but temperatures will be well above freezing at that time, in the upper 30s.
Mostly cloudy skies are in the forecast overnight with temperatures in the upper 20s.
The weekend will be dry and mostly cloudy. Temperatures will hover in the mid-to-upper 30s. Our next chance of rain comes late Monday through early Tuesday. Snow showers will follow Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday.
