Still, prepare for a very cold night. Grab the winter coats!

Low pressure will travel east along the Ohio River on Saturday. Clouds will thicken up quickly by mid-morning Saturday with rain showers increasing from west to east. The best chance for rain will be along and south of Interstate 76. Looks like a soggy afternoon for Akron, Canton, Wooster & Mansfield. Some areas from Cleveland east through Chardon, Mentor, Andover & Ashtabula may escape the day with little or now rain at all. High temperatures will stay cold everywhere: lower to middle 40s.

3:00 p.m. Update: North winds are relaxing and the sunshine is finally getting a chance for warm things. Its a little too late though. Currently the warmest temps in northeast Ohio is 49º in Akron/Canton followed by 48º in Mansfield. Temps are closer to 46º along the lakeshore.

1:30 p.m. Update: Despite the sunshine, breezy north winds are keeping temps on the cool side. Temperatures are ranging from 43º to 46º and will top out near 50 before our evening cool-down starts.

10:30 a.m. Update: A few clouds still lingering but the blue is shining through more and more. Expect more sunshine this afternoon but temps will stay cool. Breezy north winds gusting to near 20mph will keep highs close to 50º today.

Low clouds are lingering over Northeast Ohio with temperatures in the mid-30s. Clouds will gradually clear by 11 a.m. By lunchtime, temperatures will hit the mid-40s. It will be breezy this morning, especially near the lake.

High pressure over the Northern Great Lakes will keep the sky sunny this afternoon. With a northerly wind, highs will hit 50 degrees along the lake. Add a few degrees for areas farther south.

High clouds will increase tonight ahead of our next weather system. Low pressure will track across the Ohio River Valley Saturday, bringing rain to Northeast Ohio. The track of the low is still uncertain... If it moves farther south, the best chance of rain will be Akron and south. Farther north, and all of Northeast Ohio will be impacted by wet weather. As precipitation begins, temperatures will be cool enough to support mixed precipitation.

High temperatures will only hit the low-to-mid 40s Saturday, but rebound to the mid-50s Sunday with sunshine.

Next week will be warm and unsettled. Temperatures climb to the 60s and 70s with scattered showers and thunderstorms likely Tuesday through Thursday.
