8:00 pm Update: Dry & mainly clear overnight with low temperatures in the upper 20s and lower 30s. A weakening front over Illinois now will fade away and slide southeast on Wednesday. Right now, I expect dry conditions for us here and partly cloudy skies. Highs will climb back into the middle and upper 40s.

Thursday will be mainly sunny with highs again in the upper 40s.

Friday, we should be able to touch 50 degrees with abundant sunshine during the day.

A warm front moves north of the area Saturday. This will allow temperatures to climb into the lower and middle 60s during the afternoon. We should stay dry Saturday with partly cloudy skies.

Sunday should be even warmer. Highs in the mid-60s, with partly cloudy skies.

6:00 pm Update: Temperatures are falling quickly. Already in the 30s in most spots. Bundle up if you are heading out to the polls.

4:00 pm Update: Skies are mainly clear across all of Northern Ohio. We will stay mainly clear for the rest of this Election Day. Temperatures are in the lower and middle 40s. They will fall back into the 30s by 9pm.

Sunshine is dominating across the region today as temps slowly rise into the low to middle 40s.

Just in time for Election Day, sunshine is back in Northeast Ohio. Low clouds are still clearing along the lake, so give them a few more hours.

High pressure over the eastern Great Lakes will keep sun in the forecast today, with highs near 45 degrees. No excuses not to vote weather-wise! As polls close, temperatures will drop to 40 degrees.

Look for partly cloudy skies tonight and temperatures near freezing.

An approaching low pressure system will dive south Wednesday, leaving Northeast Ohio dry and partly cloudy to mostly sunny. High pressure rebuilds Thursday and Friday, pumping warmer southerly flow into the state. Highs will climb to the 50s by Friday and near 60 degrees Saturday.

The strong area of high pressure will keep another approaching storm system west of us through Monday. Until then, expect a slow and steady warm up.

WEEKEND FORECAST:  Sun and clouds for Sat and Sun. 60s both days.
