CLEVELAND - Follow Jason on Facebook and Twitter.

Update:  Temps have chilled into the middle and upper 30s under mainly cloudy skies. We'll see some clearing overnight across the SW, and even see some sunshine Monday, especially in the afternoon.

ELECTION DAY FORECAST: Mostly sunny with morning temps in the 30s, and afternoon highs in the upper 40s. Near perfect weather to get out and vote.

Update: Clouds are hanging around and will continue to keep temps cool through the afternoon. Many communities have rescheduled Trick-or-Treating for this evening, Temps will drop quickly after sunset into the 30s. Bundle those kids up and plan for a mainly dry but cloudy and cold night.

North winds all day today will continue to dominate the forecast. Not only will temperatures stay on the chilly side today but clouds will stick around and we can't rule out an isolated raindrop or snowflake. As we go throughout the afternoon, winds will relax as temps hit the lower 40s for highs.

Overnight we will see a few more breaks in the cloud cover, allowing temps to drop to near freezing for most of Northern Ohio. That means as the kiddos head back to school they will need their winter coats, gloves and scarves to stay warm. We'll stay cool but dry through the first half of next week with a long awaited return of the sunshine.

Our next cold front will push through Wednesday bringing a chance for some winter to Ohio. Temperatures will be right around that critical level for snow, rain and sleet. Whatever unfolds, will be light so don't expect much of it to get in your way.

Temperatures warm significantly after Wednesday, we'll get back into the 50s and a rush of warm air moves in for the weekend.
