CLEVELAND - 10:00 pm Update: Main area of rain has pulled to the east of Ohio. All that's left now is one or two isolated sprinkles. Will go with a dry overnight forecast under a partly to mostly cloudy sky. Temperatures will stay mild. So, you won't need your winter coats. Lows will drop into the upper 40s.
More mild air moves in for Saturday. High temperatures will climb into the lower 60s during the day with am mix of clouds and sunshine. Next batch of rain is forecast to arrive after dark Saturday.
Heavy rain is possible during the day on Sunday ahead of a strong cold front that will arrive during the day. Morning temperatures could touch 50 degrees, but I would expect falling temperatures during the afternoon.
Colder air moves back in for the rest of next week and beyond as winter returns to Ohio. Highs will be in the 30s Monday thru Thursday. Keep an eye on next weekend. With a big shot of arctic air building just to our north, we could see some of the coldest air in several years.
1:00 p.m. Update: Behind a warm front, breaks of sun are possible across Northeast Ohio. It will be breezy, with gusts to 30 mph. Highs will soar to the mid-50s this afternoon. Expect dry weather through late Saturday.
11:00 a.m. Update: Rain has already ended in western counties and will pass through eastern counties over the next hour. Breezy conditions will continue for the rest of the afternoon. Temperatures will warm to the 50s by 2 p.m.
9:00 a.m. Update: Low pressure is moving toward Detroit right now, pushing heavy rain into Northeast Ohio. Expect moderate to heavy rain for the next two hours.
Low pressure over the Midwest will move across the Great Lakes this morning. Expect rain, heavy at times, between the hours of 4 a.m. and noon.
Rain will taper off this afternoon, but it will remain cloudy and breezy. Winds will be sustained at 15-25 mph with highs in the mid-50s.
Mostly cloudy skies and mild temperatures stay in place tonight. Look for overnight lows in the upper 40s.
Saturday is the day we've all been waiting for! Highs will jump to the low 60s under mostly cloudy skies. Rain will hold off until late Saturday night, so enjoy the mild treat!
