8:00 pm Update: Rain, rain, & more rain! The cold front is south of the area now. All the rain, though is behind the front. Several waves of rain showers will cross northern Ohio tonight. Up to 1" of rain is possible by 8am across primarily the Lakeshore Counties. Lesser amounts of rain (.25" to .5") are likely south along US Rt 224 and US Rt 30. Lows tonight will drop into the lower and middle 40s.
Saturday looks dry for most of you. Sun will return quickly during the morning hours. The only exception to sunny and dry will be along the Lakeshore where Lake Effect rain showers will likely persist through most of the afternoon. Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, & Ashtabula Counties stand the best chance of seeing showers during the day Saturday. High temperatures will struggle into the lower 50s.
Saturday will be cold. Clouds will thicken up again during the overnight with an isolated Lake Effect rain shower possible. Lows will drop into the upper 30s.
Sunday will be the coldest day of the weekend. High temps will struggle to reach 50 degrees. Mostly cloudy skies will be the rule with more widely scattered Lake Effect rain showers. Keep the warm coats handy!
A widespread frost is possible Monday morning as low temperatures drop into the lower and middle 30s.
2:14 p.m. Update: The line of warm,dry air and cool, rainy air is still sitting along the I-71 Corridor. This line will gradually shift south as cooler air takes over. Everyone will get in on the rain as we get closer to nightfall. Friday Night Football games will be on the muddy side tonight.
12:40 p.m. Update: Light to moderate rain pushing through northeast Ohio. Expect scattered showers to continue through the rest of your Friday. Temperatures south of I-71 have warmed into the uper 60s and lower 70s but the rain has dropped areas north into the 50s. Expect the cooler air and rain to spread south through the afternoon. Grab the jackets and rain gear as you head out this evening.
10:00 a.m. Update: The cold front just passed through Northeast Ohio. Now scattered light rain is falling behind the front in Erie and Huron Counties. Expect rain to reach Cuyahoga County by 11 a.m.
Passing showers are possible during President Obama's visit to CSU at 2 p.m., but the heaviest rain will fall after 10 p.m. through early Saturday.
Clouds will increase this morning as a cold front passes through Ohio. High temperatures will be hit early in the day, before cooler air arrives this evening. Expect morning temperatures in the low 60s and evening temperatures in the mid-50s.
We'll stay mainly dry until late this morning. Passing showers are possible through the afternoon. Rain is likely this evening, especially along the lake. Periods of rain and scattered showers will continue for Friday night football.
Rain is likely everywhere overnight with low temperatures in the low 40s. Many areas will receive around .50" of rain.
A few showers are possible early Saturday, but much of the day will be dry. Sunshine may even make an appearance Saturday afternoon with highs in the mid-50s.
Clouds return Saturday night and Sunday as the coolest air of the season moves across the Great Lakes. Highs will struggle to reach 50 degrees Sunday. Many spots will only hit the upper 40s. Expect scattered lake effect rain showers in Cleveland and points east.
It will be a cold start Monday with most areas in the mid-to-upper 30s. Frost is likely Monday morning, especially southwest of Cleveland.
Look for sunshine Monday and Tuesday with highs eventually climbing to the low 60s.
