8:49 pm Update: Storms have moved out of the area now. Dry conditions should prevail for the rest of tonight. Lows will drop into the middle 60s.

6:10 pm Update: Thunderstorm wind damage reported in Wadsworth (Medina Co). Numerous tree limbs down in a 1/4 mile path, causing damage to three homes. Small hail reported in Rock Creek (Ashtabula Co.), & Hudson (Summit Co.).

4:00 pm Update: A few storms have popped up along the cold front inland south of Lake Erie. These storms will gradually fade through 8pm. There still could be some heavy rain, gusty winds and frequent lightning. So beware! Temperatures will hover in the 70s and lower 80 thru 9pm.

UPDATE: A storm has formed near Wadsworth. More small hail and winds within this storm.

UPDATE: Another storm has formed just east of Mansfield with some small hail and thunder moving towards I-71.

UPDATE: Storm now from NE Geauga into SW Ashtabula. Small hail likely near Rome.

UPDATE: Cell near Burton now producing thunder as well as some possible small hail. Sliding east.

UPDATE: We are seeing a few showers and storms pop up, one in Geauga county, and one north of Mentor over the lake.

We're seeing mainly sunny skies and temps have risen into the middle and upper 80s. We did have a shower earlier, but for now, we're dry. As a front pulls through this afternoon - we may see a stray shower or storm.

Thursday evening into Friday will likely bring soaking rains to the area.

Update: Isolated showers have formed along the cold front over Lake Erie. If they hold together, Eastern Cuyahoga County might get a shower before 10 a.m. Otherwise, expect some clouds along the front. The best chance for an isolated shower or storm comes this evening, mainly south of Akron.

A cold front is lingering north of Lake Erie this morning. The front will slowly sag into Northeast Ohio this afternoon. Along the front, expect a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms south of Akron. The storms will not be severe.

Highs will hit the upper 80s near the lake and low 90s south. It will be slightly more humid than yesterday.

Overnight lows will drop to the mid-60s under partly cloudy skies.

As the cold front hangs over Ohio Thursday, scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible. Some of the storms will be strong to severe. The best chance of rain comes late Thursday.

A trough of much cooler air will arrive Friday, keeping the chance of scattered rain in the forecast. Highs will be much cooler, in the mid-70s.

A few showers may linger into early Saturday, before the sky gradually clears. Sunday will be mostly sunny and pleasant with highs reaching the upper 70s.
