Our next storm system is racing through the Midwest, heading our way as we roll into the work-week. Before it gets here, enjoy the warmth. Temperatures will jump from near 20º at sunrise to the lower 40s by the afternoon. Along with the warmth comes moisture though so we can't rule out an isolated sprinkle. Not enough to get in your way if you plan on being outside. The steady, heavier rain will hold off until this evening.

After sunset, a cold front will begin pushing into Ohio. Rain will spread east around supper time and linger through much of the night. Expect temps near 40º with periods of moderate rain. Watch for low water crossings, The rain plus melting snow cover could raise water levels. Some flood prone areas could have water approach by the morning commute.

Throughout Monday morning, the rain will taper off. Expect a mainly cloudy but still mild Monday. Temps will hover in the lower 40s through the day with a gusty southwest wind. Some gusts could reach as high as 35mph. This is all in front of our next cold front. Expect a quick drop in temps overnight Monday night and into Tuesday.

Tuesday morning low temperatures will, once again, drop back into the 20s. Lake effect snow likely east of Cleveland Tuesday as temps stay near freezing all day. We do dry out and warm back to near 40º by Thursday (Valentine's Day!) but our next chance for snow arrives Friday.
