Forecast: More sunshine Tuesday & Wednesday before rain arrives late Thursday

CLEVELAND - 10:00 pm Update: That drip you hear is the melting snow from your roof! Milder temperatures have moved into the area and will continue to melt the snow thru the weekend.

Skies will be mostly clear overnight with just a few high clouds floating by. Low temperatures will drop into the lower and middle 30s.

A weak weather disturbance will slide quickly thru Ohio on Wednesday. I expect a cloud sun mix during the day with an isolated shower chance from mid morning thru mid afternoon. The rain would be light and brief. High temperatures bump back into the mid-40s for highs.

Isolated showers are possible again on Thursday. Highs will climb back into the lower and middle 40s.

The bigger warm-up arrives on Friday. Morning showers are possible. Then some sunshine is likely for the afternoon. That should help temperatures climb into the middle 50s.

Saturday will be even warmer. Isolated showers are possible during the day with a high near 58.

Rain is likely Sunday and Monday. The rain could be heavy at times. Most spots will likely see well over 1-inch of rain between Friday morning and Monday afternoon! Keep an eye out for flooding issues.

The cold returns in earnest  by the middle of next week. So, enjoy the milder air while you can!

High clouds are moving overhead this morning. Temperatures have dropped to the mid-20s in most areas.

Scattered high clouds will pass by today, but we'll still get a good shot of sunshine. Sun combined with warmer, southerly winds will boost temperatures to the low 40s.

Although high pressure is over the East Coast, it will still provide mainly clear skies tonight. Lows will fall to the mid-30s.

Another round of sunshine is in store Wednesday. A very weak cold front will drop across the Great Lakes, but I don't expect any precipitation. Wednesday's highs will hover in the low 40s.

A warmer weather system will move toward Ohio Thursday, increasing clouds and bringing a chance of late day rain. As a warm front moves north of the lake Friday, temperatures will soar to the low 50s.

Highs in the mid-50s are possible Saturday as the warmest air of the winter season surges into Northeast Ohio.

Rain is likely again late Saturday through early Sunday. A stronger cold front arrives Sunday afternoon, knocking highs to the 40s early next week.
