CLEVELAND - 9:00 pm Update: Clipper snow is moving out of the area now. Only flurries for the next hour or so. I can't rule out a brief lake effect flurry through the morning commute on Wednesday for the snow belt. Lows tonight near 20 degrees.
Finally a dry day on Wednesday. High pressure builds in quickly during the day. That should scour out any cloud cover persisting during the morning rush. Skies should be sunny for the afternoon. Highs will climb up to near 30 degrees.
7:00 pm Update: Band of light to moderate snow is moving in from the west now. It will last between 1 & 3 hours and then be gone. A few lake effect snow flurries are possible after midnight tonight east of Cleveland, but the majority of us will measure between 1/2" & 1" of new snow from this latest Alberta Clipper. Lows tonight will drop down to near 20 degrees.
We're seeing a few flurries out there, but the main light clipper snow should arrive after 5p across the west and slide east. We should clear that snow out by midnight. Expect an inch or 2 of accumulation.
Flurries are lingering in a few areas this morning, but they won't impact the morning commute. Temperatures are in the mid-20s with mainly calm winds.
Our second clipper of the week is moving through the Midwest and will approach Northeast Ohio this evening. Expect light snow in western counties after 6 p.m. Snow will quickly move east by 7 p.m. Luckily, most of the evening commute will be snow-free.
Snow will end before midnight with less than 1" of accumulation expected. Mostly cloudy skies and temperatures near 20 are in the forecast overnight.
Partly cloudy skies are likely after morning clouds Wednesday. High temperatures will hit the upper 20s.
After a dry start Thursday, the last clipper of the week arrives late in the evening. 1-3" of snow is possible through early Friday.
Temperatures warm to the mid-30s Saturday and 40 degrees Sunday. Rain showers are possible Sunday, followed by a good chance of rain Monday.
