CLEVELAND - 10:00 pm Update: More warm temperatures this week and heavy rain this weekend. Skies will be mainly clear overnight. A very weak front moved thru the area this morning. This will allow some cold air to filter in to Northern Ohio tonight. Lows will bottom out in the middle 20s with clear & starry skies.
High temperatures on Thursday will roll back up into the middle 40s. Clouds will thicken up during the day as a warm front begins to move north toward Ohio. Isolated showers are possible area-wide by evening just ahead of the warm air.
The warm front pulls in on Friday. High temperatures should have no trouble reaching the lower & middle 50s. Rain showers are likely Friday. THe majority of the area will likely receive anywhere from 1/4-inch to 1/2-inch of rain during the day.
Saturday will be the warmest day of the weekend. Skies should be partly cloudy during the day. High temperatures will reach the 55 to 60 degree range.
Heavy rains arrive on Sunday. I am a bit concerned about the flooding potential Sunday night and Monday with a melting snow pack and 1-2 inches of rain possible over a widespread area. High temperatures Sunday should get back up to near 50 degrees.
More cold arrives next week, so enjoy the thaw!
We're seeing increasing sunshine this afternoon and temps in the middle 40s. The winds are picking up too. Expect winds to blow out of the SW at 15-25 mph. We could have gusts in the low 30s.
Update: Rain has already moved into Pennsylvania and the sky is starting to clear in western Ohio. Expect increasing sunshine over the next few hours and highs near 45 degrees this afternoon. Our next chance of rain arrives early Friday.
Cloudy skies and a warm, southerly breeze will keep temperatures mild this morning. Most areas are hovering near 40 degrees for the morning commute.
A very weak cold front will pass through the Great Lakes late this morning, triggering light rain through 10 a.m. Expect gradual clearing behind the front this afternoon. Highs will hit the mid-40s.
The sky will remain clear tonight as a brief area of high pressure builds into Ohio. Lows will be colder, in the mid-20s.
Look for increasing clouds Thursday, as a warmer weather system approaches from the southwest. Highs will hit the mid-40s.
A warm front will lift north Friday, boosting temperatures to the 50s. The warmer weather will also come with rain Friday morning and afternoon.
Most of Saturday will be dry and extremely warm! Some of our southern counties could flirt with 60 degrees.
Rain returns Sunday and Monday. Rainfall totals from Friday through Monday may reach 1 to 2 inches.
