9:00 pm Update: Scattered showers have moved into Mansfield and Ashland now. They are generally light. Rain showers will arrive across Greater Cleveland & Akron anytime after 10 pm as a surface low pressure over Tennessee moves north into Western Ohio by Tuesday afternoon. We might even hear some thunder in a few spots. Lows overnight will bottom out in the middle 50s.

The low pressure will weaken as it moves north thru Western Ohio on Tuesday. Scattered showers and a possible thunderstorms are likely during the morning commute. Then we dry out quite a bit, withwidely scattered thunderstorms possible for the rest of the day. A severe thunderstorm is also possible along and south of US Route 30 during the afternoon. We could even see a few hours of sunshine in between rain drops. High temperatures will reach up to near 70 degrees.

Wednesday should be drier with  quite a bit of sunshine. I can't rule out a random shower during the afternoon, with the weakening low pressure still just off to our west. High temperatures should have no trouble reaching into the lower and middle 70s.

High clouds are moving in across the SW, with showers breaking out across southern and central Ohio. Rain should arrive after sunset and into the overnight. Temps are in the mid 60s.

It's a sunny start to October, but rain will move into the area overnight.

Mostly sunny skies are in the forecast through lunchtime, before high clouds increase from the south this afternoon. Clouds will thicken this evening as low pressure moves up the Ohio Valley.

Expect scattered rain after midnight with overnight lows in the mid-50s.

Areas of rain will continue early Tuesday morning during the commute. Despite scattered showers Tuesday afternoon, high temperatures will reach 70 degrees with peeks of sunshine.

I can't rule out the chance of showers Wednesday, but I don't expect much as low pressure moves northeast over Lake Erie.

A brief area of high pressure builds in Thursday to bring mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 70s.

A stronger weather system arrives from the northwest Friday. A cold front will drop temperatures to the mid-60s, followed by mid-50s Saturday and Sunday.
