Forecast: Bright sunshine and light winds allow us to get back near 50º today

CLEVELAND - 10:00 pm Update: Happy Weekend!! Skies are mostly sunny all across Northern Ohio now. We'll stay mainly clear this evening and overnight. Evening temperatures will remain in the lower and middle 40s through 8pm. Overnight lows will drop back down to near 30 degrees.

High pressure will remain in control of our weather through the weekend. Saturday will be sunny and dry. Highs should get close to 50 during the afternoon. Sunday looks mostly sunny and even a bit milder. I expect thermometers to to out in the middle 50s.

Thanksgiving Week: Monday will bring us partly cloudy skies with highs in the middle and upper 50s. We'll see upper 50s for highs again on Tuesday, but with a weak front dropping in by late afternoon, I can't rule out an isolated rain shower. Great weather for travel on Wednesday. Highs will top out near 52 degrees with partly cloudy skies. Thanksgiving will be dry with temperatures climbing up into the lower 50s again. Enjoy!

12:12 pm Update: Temperatures have warmed quickly into the middle and upper 40s this afternoon. We will see a few spots hit that 50º mark but most of us will stay in the upper 40s. Expect another chilly evening as temps return to the 30s. Bring the blankets and gloves to the playoff Football games!

Get ready for another sunny day in Ohio as temperatures finally get back to near 50º, which is our typical mid-November high. The warming trend continues through the weekend as the sun sticks around. Looks like Saturday afternoon highs will be in the lower 50s with the potential for upper 50s Sunday.

Our weather pattern stays very steady over the next several days. We will see slight changes in the temperatures through much of next week but expect a mainly dry forecast. Our next best chance for rain will hold off until late next Tuesday as a quick moving, weak cold front slides through. Expect isolated showers Tuesday but the wind shift behind the front could have a bigger impact.

As Thanksgiving travel gets closer, the wind coming over the lake will at least give us lake effect clouds. Wind direction will be critical the second half of the week in whether or not we get rain or just a few clouds. Plan for a mainly dry Thanksgiving for now though.
