LAKEVILLE, Ohio -- A Holmes County soldier was killed in Afghanistan Sunday.

The Department of Defense said that Spc. Damon G. Winkleman, 23, of Lakeville, was one of two soldiers killed during a vehicle roll-over in Zabul province. Spc. Corey J. Kowall, 20, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., also died period

The soldiers were assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, in Fort Bragg, N.C.

The incident is under investigation.
