CLEVELAND -- Ohio Department of Transportation said it found the weakest link on the Innerbelt Bridge and beginning Wednesday no trucks or buses will be allowed on the bridge.Engineers said that if the link fails the entire bridge could collapse. Before ODOT closed four lanes, the small beam was functioning at just 62 percent of its legally required strength.Since ODOT reduced traffic on the bridge, engineers said the steel beam is functioning at the satisfactory and safe legal limit.ODOT wants to keep the weight on the bridge down.
