The city of Tallmadge is coming to the aid of a historical building located there.

A two-room federal-style church is a historical landmark built in the early 1800s on what was originally the town square in Tallmadge.

But because of state budget cuts, the Ohio Historical Society needs help in preserving the church, so the city decided to take over the maintenance of the building from the historical society to keep it from being closed up.
