Ohio State Highway Patrol will hold drunken driving checkpoints in Medina, Canton, Cleveland, more

CLEVELAND - The Ohio State Highway Patrol has announced that it will host drunken driving checkpoints in Cleveland, Medina and Canton this weekend.

The checkpoints, listed below, are planned to educate the public about the problem of impaired driving and to reduce the number of alcohol-related crashes.

CLEVELAND: 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday, one on Lorain Avenue and one on St. Clair Avenue

NEW FRANKLIN: 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday, 530 West Turkeyfoot Road

RAVENNA: 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on state Route 44 in Rootstown Township

CANTON: Friday, one on the 2900 block of Whipple Avenue and one on 3800 block of state Route 687

MEDINA: Saturday, location and time TBA
