A Euclid woman accused of killing a deer was sentenced on Thursday.

Dorothy Richardson pleaded no contest and was found guilty.

The judge sentenced Richardson to a 30-day suspended sentence, 80 hours of community service and fined her $5,000.

Authorities said the 75-year-old woman beat a fawn to death with a shovel after she found it eating flowers in her yard over the summer.
