AKRON, Ohio -- Police said an Akron couple created child pornography for years using young girls under the age of 13.

Michael Lee Winland, 37, was charged with 18 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor and pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor. Stephennie Murphy, 31, faces the same charges, along with complicity to rape, illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material and child endangering.

Police said more charges are expected as detectives continue to search the couple's computer for more evidence and more victims.

Police said they discovered hundreds of images of child pornography that showed the victims performing sex acts.

Akron police said this is one of the worst cases of child pornography the department has seen.

Police said the investigation began in August when an 8-year-old girl was treated for sexual trauma. Police said the suspects used family acquaintances as victims.

Police said there are multiple victims, some of whom are being cared for by children services.
