A bright light was seen moving across the sky Thursday morning.

E-mails to newsnet5.com said that a fireball or space junk was seen between 6:15 a.m. and 6:25 a.m.

Tell Us What You Saw

It appeared to be very low in the sky, just over the rooftops, with a tail about 8 miles long. Some viewers said it was bright blue and yellow or bright green and red.

"This thing went from north to south in a downward angle. It had a bright green head and a short gold tail. I've watched plenty of meteors and this was like no meteor I've ever seen. It lasted about 5 seconds," Bruce said in an e-mail.

"I saw what I thought was falling star about 6:25-6:30 a.m. in Brimfield. It came from the north traveling south to southwest. It was round, brilliant white with a long orangish-colored tail. It was just above the tree line," said an e-mail from Myra.

"It was not like anything you have ever seen before (almost unreal). The light was just so intense (not some fireball). It was quite amazing how the light switched from an intense green to intense red so quickly," said Steve in an e-mail.

It was reportedly traveling north to southwest.

It was seen from Interstate 90 in Cleveland to Garfield Heights, Broadview Heights, Mentor, Ashland, Solon, Columbus, southern Michigan and Indiana.

Most viewers said they had never experienced anything like it.

There has not been any official word on what the light was.
