Jack Marschall Returns to WEWS
WEWS NewsChannel5 announced that Cleveland television news veteran Jack Marschall will return to the NewsChannel5 airwaves on Monday, April 18, during "Good Morning Cleveland." "Air Marschall" will report live from NewsChopper5, which was recently upgraded to provide Northeast Ohio's best coverage of local news, providing a bird's-eye view of what's happening throughout northeast Ohio. Marschall will also be seen reporting in other newscasts, keeping viewers up-to-date on his hometown."My enthusiasm for Jack's return to NewsChannel5 is only topped by his enthusiasm at coming home," says John Butte, news director at NewsChannel 5. "He's an outstanding journalist, person and citizen."A graduate of Benedictine High School and Kent State University, Marschall served as weekend news producer, reporter and anchor at WEWS from 1982 until 1987.Marschall has won many awards for journalism and community service, and is an inductee in the Ohio Broadcasters Hall of Fame. He won his first Emmy award while at WEWS for a series on homelessness.
