PITTSBURGH - Two Pittsburgh Steelers running backs are proving more "up in smoke" than "three yards and a cloud of dust."
Second-year rusher Le'Veon Bell and veteran back LeGarrette Blount went from "thunder and lightning" to "Cheech and Chong" on Wednesday afternoon when they were arrested, along with an unidentified woman, on DUI and marijuana charges, according to a report by ESPN.
Depending on how the team--or the league--decides to handle the arrests, speedy Dri Archer, a rookie out of Kent State, could get the start against Cleveland. At the least, the early rumblings say Archer will get an expanded role on the offense but not just because of these arrests.
The Browns face the Steelers at Heinz Field Stadium on September 7 for the 2014 season opener, their first on the road in a long time.
If reports are true, both players will be suspended. Can you say Dri Archer as #Steelers opening day starter against Cleveland!— Charlie Batch (@CharlieBatch16) August 20, 2014
