Cuyahoga Heights beats Minster on Brittany Nero's walk-off hit to take OHSAA Division IV state title

Despite all the attention our pro teams get, some of our favorite sports are local high school sports.
For instance, take Cuyahoga Heights thrilling 2-1 victory over Minster at Firestone Stadium in Akron this weekend.
The score tied at one run a piece, junior Brittany Nero stepped to the plate with two outs in the bottom of the 7th inning and hit a liner to left to plate the game-winning run.
That gave Cuyahoga Heights (23-3) the 2014 OHSAA Division IV softball state championship in their first year to the tournament.
No wonder the video of Nero's walk-off line drive is the most shared in northeast Ohio Monday morning.
