Browns rank 20th on Forbes annual survey of the most valuable NFL franchises

CLEVELAND - Forbes magazine has released its annual survey of the most valuable NFL franchises.

The Cleveland Browns come in the middle of the pack with a team value of $977 Million, according to Forbes magazine. That ranks them 20th out of the 32 teams in the NFL.

The NFL now has 15 franchises with a current net worth of more than $1 billion.

The Dallas Cowboys lead the way with a team value of $1.85 billion, according to Forbes magazine's annual survey. That also gives the Cowboys the highest worth of any U.S team of the four major sports. Dallas is also second only to Manchester United of the English Premier League among sports franchises worldwide.

Here is a list of the top five NFL Franchises:

1). Dallas Cowboys $1.85 billion

2). Washington Redskins $1.55 billion

3). New England Patriots $1.4 billion

4). New York Giants $1.3 billion

5). New York Jets $1.22 billion

The study is based on the 2010 season and eighteen teams value increased from the year before.

The biggest jump in revenue was made by the New York Giants who increase by 10 percent because of their new stadium.

Finally, the Jacksonville Jaguars bring up the real with a team value of $725 million. That's more than $300 million under the league average.
