BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio - Senior Kevin Reynolds of Brecksville-Broadwiew High School is not your average student athlete. After a football injury sidelined Kevin, he still had a love for the game and he could not stay away from football so he became a student coach.
"He got a lot of things he has to do in game with us during practice. He's very active with the players. The kids love him, the kids respect him and they listen to him and you see them interact with him and that's something very special," said head football coach Jason Black.
With a 3.9 grade point average and as a member of National Honor Society, Kevin is not only a good student-coach, he's also a smart student.
"In the back of my head I knew that an injury could prevent me from playing sports and in this case it happens to me so that's why I've always been working hard in the classroom ever since high school and middle school," said Reynolds.
Congratulations coach Kevin Reynolds, the McDonald's Student Athlete of the Week.
