Normandy High School's Alexis Ryan has excelled both in athletics and in the classroom. She plays goalie on her school's hockey team, where she shares the ice with her twin brother, Kyle.
"Not a lot of people get a chance to play with one of their siblings. It's different. I trust him a lot," she explained.
Alexis' honors in college include second- team all-conference last year and third-team all-conference the year prior.
Academically, she challenges herself with honors classes. But the thing for which she is most proud is neither academics nor athletics.
She explained, "I am most proud of my family. They are always there for me and they never give up on me or anything."
Alexis says she plans to pursue a career in the medical field.
