NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio - North Olmsted High School home of the Eagles and soaring high in achievement is senior Brett Purgason. Brett is a fouryear letterman for the diving team and a two time district qualifier. But when he's not diving in the pool he is using his legs running for the track and cross country team.
"Brett is a hard worker I knew him since his freshman year, he has continuously improved every year. He doesn't stop working hard he always continues to try to do the best for himself and his team mates," said head track Scott Derbin.
Purgason may be a three sport athlete, but as a member of student council and holding a four point three grade point average, his academics is at the top of his list.
"Getting my education is the most important part of school. I know that I want to have fun too that's why I keep involved in extra curricular. But I know that my parents taught me the number one thing is to have a good education and that's why I stayed focus while playing sports and maintaining a good grade point average," said Purgason.
In the future Purgason wants to become a chemical engineer.
