CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio - It's football time with the Bombers of Kenston High as they prepare for a playoff game. Senior lineman James Gruver broke his leg in week seven of the season. But that is not keeping him off the football field.
"He shows up everyday and he follows the o-line around. He coaches up the young guys and the sophomores that replaced him. He's coaching these sophomores up and using his experience to make them better," said head football coach Jeff Grubich.
James is just as committed in the classroom with a 4.1 grade point average. He is also a very proud member of National Honor Society.
"My mom was in it. It's kind of like a tradition for us to have and when I got into it I was really excited. To be recognize for all of my hard work I put in I'll definitely will remember it for the rest of my life," said James.
James is also on the track and lacrosse team as well as being the class president.
