Amherst Steele High Connor Morris is student athlete of the week

AMHERST, Ohio - Senior Connor Morris of Amherst Steele High School is a three-sport athlete for the Comets.

Connor plays golf, hockey and baseball.

In hockey, he was conference MVP his junior and senior years.  He holds the state record for most assists in a season. 

In baseball, he was named first team All-Ohio his junior year and he was named first team Southwest conference for his senior year.

"He has been a fantastic senior leader. He's one of the fierce competitor I've been around and he's one of the nicest kid I've been around," said head baseball coach Matt Rositano.

Connor is also fantastic in the classroom as a member of National Honor Society. He has a 4.2 grade point average and graduates second in a class of 330.

''Both my brother and sister always done well. I come from a family who took great pride in academics and I try to follow that tradition," said Connor.

Connor will be attending Miami of Ohio in the fall.
