Post Postion Draw For Belmont Stakes

ELMONT, N.Y. - The post position draw for the 144th Running of the Belmont Stakes is completed. Twelve runners will break from the starting gates on Saturday, and 11 of those horses will be trying to stop I'll Have Another's chance at winning the Triple Crown and a taking a purse of $600,000!  Here is the Belmont line up from the inside post out.

PP1 Street Life - Odds 12-1, Owned by Magnolia Racing Stable/Hidden Brook Farm, Trainer Chad C. Brown, Jockey Jose Lezcano.  

PP2. Unstoppable U - Odds 30-1, Owned by Magdalena Racing/Mojallali Stables, Trainer Kenneth McPeek, Jockey Junior Alvarado.

PP3. Union Rags - Odds 6-1, Owner Chadds Ford Stable, Trainer Michael Matz, Jockey John Velazquez.

PP4.  Antigun - Odds 30-1, Owner Shortleaf Stable, Trainer Ken McPeek, Jockey Julien Leparoux.

Reddam Racing's, I'll Have Another, continues to be the one to beat in this race with odds listed at 4/5.  This is the first time in all his career starts that he's being shown as the favorite, despite the fact that he's won his last 4 races.  This morning Trainer Doug O'Neill said of his colt, "He's eating well, his coat looks good and is healthy." Trainer O'Neill discussed some of the personal scrutiny he's been faced with the last few weeks, and that he is trying to deal with those issues and clear the infractions placed upon him by the California Racing Board. The I'll Have Another racing team claims that, "This has been an unbelievable ride, but now we are trying to stay focused on this journey."
