Former Cleveland Browns player Tom DeLeone has died.

DeLeone died early Sunday morning. He was 65-years-old.

A former two-time Pro Bowler, DeLeone spent 11 seasons with the browns from 1974 to 1984 and is remembered as one of the “Kardiac Kids” from 1980.

He started 104 games and appeared in 176 during his career.

After he retired from football, DeLeone worked as a criminal investigator and served as a member of the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. He later became a substitute teacher and assistant high school football coach.

In 2011 he was diagnosed with brain cancer and over the past several months was visited by many members of the 1980 Browns team.

He was recently inducted into the Browns’ Legends Club.
