Normally, when one thinks of Ohio State, the first thing that comes to mind is the football team and the athletic department, followed by the school's prestigious academic standards and then maybe the famous marching band.
But now, that line of thought has been flipped upside down.
It started with a complaint filed by a band member's parent, which led to an investigation that resulted in the firing of band director Jonathan Waters for knowing about the "sexualized" band culture.
Despite an appeal and student support for the reinstatement of Waters, new university president Michael Drake has stood by his decision, leaving Waters out of luck.
But the show must go on.
In light of Waters' dismissal, the OSU Marching Band , also known as TBDBITL , has refocused its attention on the upcoming season, releasing this pump up video. The goosebump creating video is arguably better than those created at most football programs. And who does it star? You guessed it, Jonathan Waters.
