Women gather at Lakewood bar to transform Ziploc bags into NFL-conforming purses for Browns games

Duct tape & stickers used to decorate Ziploc bags

LAKEWOOD, Ohio - The NFL's new policy of not allowing purses into stadiums is keeping some local women busy.

On Thursday night, Jennifer Verrillo held a purse-making party at World of Beer in Lakewood.

Since it was ladies' night, there were plenty of women ready to turn-one gallon Ziploc bags into works of art. Their fancy purses have straps made of duct tape and are decorated with NFL stickers.

"I don't like it. I'm going to conform to it. I just think people that are under the impression that this enhances safety at the game, I think that they are living in a bubble because that's not really the case," Verrillo said.

Jennifer made her very own "Coach" purse. She also got crafty again by disguising one of her personal items in the form of a necklace.

The policy bans backpacks, some seat cushions and coolers. Fans can bring in clear, plastic bags, or clutches measuring 6.5 inches by 4.5 inches. More information available at nfl.com/allclear
