CLEVELAND - We are now less than a week away for the kickoff of the 2013 NFL regular season. The Browns open the regular season this Sunday afternoon against the Miami Dolphins.
The Browns look to improve on a 5-11 season in 2012 with a new regime lead by first time head coach Rob Chudzinski and an excellent coaching staff lead by offensive coordinator Norv Turner and Defensive Coordinator Ray Horton.
The Browns will enter the 2013 season as one of the youngest teams in the league. The offense will be lead by a second year quarterback in Brandon Weeden and running back Trent Richardson.
The defense will be lead by linebackers D'Qwell Jackson and Paul Kruger. The Browns secondary will be one of the youngest in the league lead by fourth year cornerback Joe Haden and safety T.J. Ward. Joining Ward and Haden in the secondary is safety Tashaun Gipson who won the starting safety job opposite Ward in just his second season with the Browns.
Gipson is looking forward to starting the season opener on Sunday and shared his thoughts about being named the starter and on this upcoming season on the September 1, 2013 edition of the Ford Sports Sunday with NewsChannel Five sports director Andy Baskin.
