Reports: Browns cornerback Joe Haden fails drug test, faces a possible suspension

CLEVELAND - Cleveland Browns third year cornerback Joe Haden has reportedly failed a drug test and faces a possible suspension by the National Football League.

NewsChannel5 sports director Andy Baskin confirmed through sources that Haden tested positive for a drug, possibly Adderall.

Adderall is a medication for attention deficit disorder and is banned by the league. Adderall can also be used to treat excessive tiredness.

The test will be administered again. If the test comes back positive for a second time, Haden could be suspended for up to four games. This is the first positive test for Haden.

Haden can appeal if the second test turns up positive and receives a league suspension.

The Browns and the NFL would not comment on the reports. Haden's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, also did not comment.
