Ray Farmer meets with media before NFL Draft

BEREA, Ohio - Browns General Manager Ray Farmer met with the Cleveland media today in Berea to go over his thoughts about next month's NFL Draft.

In ten days Browns fans will know whether or not Farmer was truthful in his pre-draft thoughts from Monday morning.

Farmer said, "Picks one, two and three are starting to shape up in my mind, I feel there are five options that can go in my head, it's a speculation game at this point."

The Browns general manager spoke candidly for 25 minutes with the media and while he didn't tip his hat as to who the Browns may pick with the fourth overall selection on May 8 he did lend some opinion to some of the top names.

"He's a very good kid, I don't think anybody hands you a manual on how to handle the media swarm, how to handle people coming up to you at dinner. I think there are good things ahead for him," Farmer said about Manziel.

"Big, Huge, good football player, explosive with really good hands, saddle him on the other side of Josh Gordon, wow," Farmer said about Sammy Watkins.

Farmer on the draft, "Every draft is important, it is the life blood of every organization."

The Browns will begin a three day mini camp on Tuesday, Farmer announced the team has invited veteran quarterbacks Vince Young and Tyler Thigpen to this weeks camp.

The NFL draft begins Thursday, May 8.
