Nike unveils new Cleveland Browns uniforms, fans make jokes on Twitter

CLEVELAND - The official Cleveland Browns uniform is still brown, and fans do not appear to be impressed. The new uniforms look nearly identical to the former uniforms.

Nike replaced Reebok as the official provider of NFL gear and on Tuesday revealed the newly designed uniforms with the marketing header, "Fast is Faster."

New uniforms for all 32 teams were unveiled in New York City, but Browns fans everywhere took to Facebook and Twitter to voice their opinions on the new look.

One person wrote on Twitter, "Surprise! The same! Except fat players will look fatter."

Another wrote, "A lot of balls will be bouncing off those." Another also jabbed the Browns record, tweeting, "Been losing with these since 1964. Time for a change!"

The only noticeable change is the addition of Nike's "swoosh" symbol on the shoulders of jerseys, the fronts of pants and on cleats.

The Browns online shop also has new items for fans, featuring an all-new Nike collection with T-shirts, tank tops and shorts.

The Browns were 4-12 in the 2011 season. The NFL draft begins April 26, and the Browns have the fourth pick in the first round.
