9  a.m. Saturday: ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Browns Head Coach Rob Chudzinski is targeting Chargers Defensive Coordinator John Pagano as the teams next Defensive Coordinator. Pagano worked with both Norv Turner and Rob Chudzinski in San Diego.

10:48 p.m. Friday: Mike Cairns reported the Browns are talking to Derek Anderson about a return to Cleveland. Anderson posted on his Facebook page that he would love to comeback to Cleveland if the fans would have him and he has learned alot in three years away.

7:15 p.m. Friday: Mike Cairns has learned not to expect any announcement from the Browns regarding Norv Turner as the teams Offensive Coordinator until next week at the earliest. Turner is on vacation with his family.

5:40 p.m. Tuesday: Former Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith will interview with the Eagles. Philadelphia interviewed several candidates that also met with the Browns, like Bill O'Brien and Chip Kelly. Both men decided to stay with their college teams. The Eagles have received permission to

speak with Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden, and will meet with Indianapolis offensive coordinator Bruce Arians and Seattle defensive coordinator Gus Bradley.

3:57 p.m. Tuesday: Montreal Alouettes coach Marc Trestman arrives in Berea after interviewing with the Bears on Monday. He becomes the fifth person to interview for the Browns head coaching position.

11:51 a.m. Tuesday: Chronicle-Telegram sports writer Scott Petrak writes that time is running out for Browns to make a decision about hiring a head coach. Four other NFL teams have openings. He notes that Notre Dame's Brian Kelly may not generate the same kind of buzz that Nick Saban did, but the possibility shouldn't be ignored.

Petrak writes that he helped make Notre Dame relevant again, and specializes in offense. Kelly did not rule out the NFL when asked over the weekend, and said it comes down to time and place

5:10 a.m. Tuesday: Two former Browns offensive coordinators are in the mix with interviews reportedly scheduled. The Indianapolis Star reports the Browns became the third team to request permission to interview Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians Monday. Yahoo! Sports' Jason Cole first reported the Browns would interview CFL head coach Marc Trestman. Arians served as Browns' offensive coordinator from 2001-2003. Trestman held that gig during the 1989 season.

10:57 p.m. Monday: also reports that the Jon Gruden rumors are not true, saying "the Browns also have no interest in making a 'splash' with their hire."

8:15 p.m. Monday: WEWS Sports has learned former Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel is not being considered for the Browns head coaching vacancy or any position on the team's staff.

6:15 p.m. Monday: WEWS Sports Director Andy Baskin has learned that reports about the Browns possibly pursuing former Tampa Bay head coach and Ohio native Jon Gruden are not true. The Browns will not pursue Gruden in any way.
