Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams said Tuesday that Browns running back Isaiah Crowell had personally apologized for posting an image of a police officer getting his throat slit.

He posted the graphic image to his Instagram account and later deleted it.

On Monday, he issued an apology, saying he posted the image "in the midst of that emotion that I shouldn't have and immediately removed it."

"I haven't, by choice, I haven't looked at the picture," Williams said Tuesday. "I did have a conversation this morning with Mr. Crowell. He wanted to personally apologize to myself and law enforcement here in northeast Ohio."

"You know, the young man, in the heat of the moment, made a bad choice, made a bad decision and he's apologized for that."
