The Cleveland Browns have waived wide receiver Terrelle Pryor on Thursday.

Officials with the Browns confirm to newsnet5.com the former Ohio State quarterback was waived.
In a corresponding move, the Browns announced they signed running back Robert Turbin, who played for the Seattle Seahawks last season.
The Browns, whose offense is run-oriented, lacked depth at the position after they traded 2014 third round pick Terrance West to the Tennessee Titans for a conditional 2016 draft pick.
Pryor tweeted the following on Thursday:

Pryor struggled with a lingering hamstring injury during training camp.
The standout Buckeye was claimed off waivers from the Cincinnati Bengals on June 22, and immediately the Browns announced the 6-4, 223-pound athlete would compete for a roster spot at wide receiver, not quarterback.
Pryor made the initial 53-man roster announced after the preseason.

Breaking into the league as a quarterback, Pryor has played in 15 career NFL games throwing for 1,953 yards, 9 TDs and 12 INTs while rushing for 627 yards and 3 TDs.
He didn’t take a snap last season as he served as the backup to Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson.
While at Ohio State, Pryor announced he was leaving for the NFL about a week after the university and NCAA announced an investigation into several potential violations Pryor had committed, including reports he accepted thousands of dollars in free food at restaurants or convenience stores, drinks at bars and tattoos.
A report also surfaced that he had received between $20,000-40,000 from a memorabilia dealer for signing autographs.
After being ruled eligible for the NFL’s supplemental draft, Pryor had to sit out the first five games serving a suspension the league rolled over from the NCAA.
