BEREA, Ohio - The Cleveland Browns introduced their new NFL draft pick, Baylor's Phil Taylor, during a late afternoon news conference on Friday.
The event was supposed to take place earlier in the day, but Taylor's plane was delayed in getting to Cleveland.
"When I came here on my visit, it felt like home. I wanted to be a Brown. When they called, it was like a dream come true," said Taylor.
He said he's ready to get on the practice field.
"I love to win, I hate to lose. I'm going to come in here ready to work and do what I got to do to play," he said.
After making two trades, the Cleveland Browns selected Baylor defensive tackle Phil Taylor with the 21st pick in the NFL Draft last night, a run stopper for their new 4-3 defensive alignment. The Browns first swapped the sixth overall pick with Atlanta, acquired four others from the Falcons, including the Number 27 pick and then swapped that pick and a third-rounder with Kansas City to get Taylor, a 6-foot-3, 330-pounder.
