CLEVELAND - Browns running back Peyton Hillis is one step closer to gracing the cover of Madden 12.
Hillis has advanced once again in the fan voting, and is one of the eight finalists in the running to be on the cover of upcoming game in EA Sports franchise.
Hillis beat out Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan in the second round, edging out Ryan by just two percent of the votes. Hillis will now take on Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles.
Charles advanced past Maurice Jones-Drew in the second round.
For the first time ever, EA Sports is asking fans to decide who goes on the cover, as the game has partnered with ESPN's Sportsnation to allow fans to vote. The voting is set up in a bracket, similar to the NCAA tournament, and it started two weeks ago with 32 contestants.
As a 10 seed, Hillis was one of the underdogs from the start of the bracket, and he is the lowest seed remaining. The other finalists include Aaron Rodgers, Danny Woodhead, Drew Brees, Adrian Peterson, Michael Vick, and Patrick Willis.
Fans are able to vote on the third round matchups until April 11.
