Browns beat Chiefs 30-7

CLEVELAND - Browns looking to keep the good vibes going today when they welcome the Kansas City Chiefs to Cleveland Browns Stadium.

Browns have all of their key players active for today's second to last home game of the year.

Jamaal Charles wasted no time getting the Chiefs on the scoreboard on the first play, taking a handoff 80 yards for the touchdown.

The Browns would not move the ball in their first posession. Chiefs march down on second series and our denied by the Browns defense which would catch a break on a Ryan Succop missed field goal.

Browns turn the Chiefs field goal miss into points driving 76 yards in 11 plays highlighted by two big Brandon Weeden completions. A 34 yard strike to Greg Little and then an 18 yard completion on third down to Josh Gordon. Phil Dawson kicked a 23 yard field goal, the 300th of his career.

First play of the second quarter and Travis Benjamin with the biggest play of the game so far with a 93 yard punt return for a touchdown to give the Browns the first lead of the afternoon.

Browns punt return for score by Travis Benjamin is longest in Browns history surpassing Eric Metcalf. After the opening touchdown run by the Chiefs, the Browns defense has really settled in and starting to get pressure on Brady Quinn.

Browns opening possession of the second half is a well out together drive, finished off by a one yard touchdown run from Trent Richardson. The Browns drive went 7 plays and 60 yards.

Browns defense gets a 23 yard interception return from Tashaun Gipson which set up a 24 yard field goal from Phil Dawson. The Browns had a first and goal at the Kansas City two yard line and had two touchdowns called back by penalties during the drive.

Browns extend the lead on a short touchdown run from Trent Richardson his second of the game. Browns pulling away here in the fourth quarter.

The Browns would hold the Chiefs and add another Phil Dawson field goal to extend the lead. The Browns are really dominating on both sides of the football. The Chiefs offense has struggled all year long and being put into a passing situation because of the score. The Browns defense is taking aim at Brady Quinn.
