Kevin Hogan is the only Cleveland Browns quarterback not overcoming an injury right now.

Let's recap, shall we?

  • Starter Robert Griffin III was injured on an 11-yard run in the fourth quarter of the game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
  • Josh McCown, who took Griffin's place, fractured his collarbone in the first quarter of the Baltimore Ravens game.
  • Next up was Cody Kessler. He hurt his chest and ribs during last Sunday's game against New England.
  • That's when Charlie Whitehurst was brought in. He injured his right knee during Sunday's game, prompting coaching staff to send in Terrelle Pryor as quarterback. He was cut from the team on Tuesday.

Okay so, back to Hogan. During practice Wednesday, Hogan was asked what it's like being the only quarterback who is not overcoming and injury.

“It is pretty unbelievable," he said. "It is just one of those freak things that happens but we have some tough guys back there. I know Josh is getting close and Cody is tough as nails. I am going to do whatever I can to help those guys and prepare myself so that if my number gets called, I am ready to go.”
