BEREA, Ohio - For the fifth time since the Browns came back to Cleveland in 1999, another head coach has been benched for good.
But the team's president, Mike Holmgren, said firing Eric Mangini was not an easy decision.
"I like the man alot, he is hardworking, bright and a caring guy" said Holmgren.
The 39-year-old Mangini has been calling the shots for the past two years. Some fans said his dismal record of 10 wins and 22 losses speaks for iteslf.
Gretchen Ludwick said, "I have never been a big fan of what's going on at the Browns. Need some true leadership -- that is what they need."
But there are fans who said there were signs of improvement and you can't put all the blame on Mangini.
"I don't think it is all his fault, it is a team, win some lose some, it is not one man," explained Drew Osterndorff.
