Fans witnessed a terrifying moment at the Cleveland Cavaliers game Thursday night as LeBron James barreled into the crowd, taking out the wife of a PGA golfer.
The collision happened with just five minutes left in the game as James scrambled for a loose ball, diving right into Ellie Day, the wife of Jason Day.
Ellie, taking the brunt of James' dive, fell backward. She was taken out of the arena on a stretcher, accompanied by applause.
"Obviously her health is very important and hopefully she's doing well," James said after the game. "The guys told us she's doing great now. But going for a loose ball, I was just trying to keep a possession going and hate that that was the end result of it."
James tweeted around midnight, saying he hoped the pair will come to another game soon.
Ellie Day I hope you're doing okay! My apologies! Hope u guys come back to another game soon. Love LJ!
