Kyrie Irving won't start for the Eastern conference in the All-Star Game

CLEVELAND - Since Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo was lost for the season three weeks ago, speculation began as to who will replace him in the starting lineup for the eastern conference all-stars on Sunday night.

Today, eastern conference head coach Eric Spolestra of the Miami Heat made the announcement.

Cavalier fans were hoping that reigning rookie of the year Kyrie Irving will get the nod, but they will have to settle for Kyrie coming off the bench.

Spolestra will start one of his players from the world champion Heat instead, power forward Chris Bosh. Both Bosh and Irving we're selected by eastern conference coaches as reserves. With Bosh inserted in the starting lineup, Spolestra will have LeBron James serve as the point guard for the eastern conference.
