Cleveland Cavaliers rookie point guard Kay Felder suffered a concussion in practice on Friday and is currently in the league's concussion protocol.

The team said Felder's status for the season opener won't be known until Tuesday morning. That night, the Cavaliers will hoist their championship banner and present the players with their rings before facing the New York Knicks at 7:30 p.m.

Felder was one of the Cavaliers' bright spots during the Summer League. He averaged over 15 points and tallied nearly four assists per game. He was second on the Cavs in scoring to fellow guard Jordan McRae, who notched 24 points per game.
