General Manager David Griffin announced today from Cleveland Clinic Courts that the Cleveland Cavaliers have re-signed forward Richard Jefferson.

Per league and team policy, terms of contract were not released.

"RJ's versatility on the court and leadership off it were core parts of our identity and success last year. In many respects his impact was greater as the stakes got higher," Griffin said.

Over his 15 year career has played in 1,082 games with New Jersey (currently Brooklyn), Milwaukee, San Antonio, Golden State, Utah, Dallas, and Cleveland.

Jefferson appeared in 74 games during the Cavs 2015-2016 regular season, and 21 contests during the championship run in the playoffs. He averaged 5.4 points on .524 shooting from the field and 3.5 rebounds in 18.1 minutes per game.

Following the 2016 NBA Championship win, Jefferson announced he was going to retire only to reverse his decision during the championship celebration days later.
