The Cleveland Cavaliers and shooting guard J.R. Smith agreed to a new deal on Friday night.
League sources are reporting that the deal is worth $57 million over four years.
Smith is a 6 foot 6 inch guard is best known for his offensive prowess. He came to Cavaliers in a trade with the New York Knicks during the 2014-2015 season.

Smith is regarded as a premier shot-maker in the NBA. Last season he made 40 percent of his 3-pointers and 41 percent of his shots inside the arc while scoring 12.4 points per game. Those averages increased in the playoffs, where he scored 11.5 points per game and shot 43 percent from beyond the arc.
Negotiations began after Smith didn't pick up his $5.3 million player option for this upcoming season.
Cavaliers' star forward LeBron James made it publicly known how badly he wanted Smith to resign with the team. In September, LeBron said he felt the Cavaliers owed the shooting guard, who helped the team win the NBA title last season.
